The ACCU-CHEK FlexLink Plus infusion set features:
The new ACCU-CHEK FlexLink Plus infusion set is designed for the infusion of U 100 insulin with an insulin pump. The new Safe-In technology allows safe and easy insertion with the push of a button: the introducer needle is only activated as long as it is necessary and snaps back into the needle box when the cannula is well positioned.
Step 1: Before unpacking your infusion set, wash your hands thoroughly. Choose and disinfect your infusion site as instructed by your doctor or healthcare team.
Step 2: Attach the transfer set to the insulin pump and prime it according to the instructions provided with the insulin pump.
Step 3: Peel both parts of the adhesive backing paper away from the adhesive plaster.
Step 4: Push the button until it stops. The introducer needle with the soft cannula snaps out.
Step 5: Insert the infusion set at a 90° angle.
Step 6: Press the adhesive plaster firmly onto the infusion site, ensuring that it makes good contact with the skin.
Step 7: Remove the needle box with the introducer needle, leaving the connector plate in place. The introducer needle snaps back into the needle box automatically.
Step 8: Connect the primed transfer set to the connector plate. When resuming pump therapy, use an insulin bolus of 1.0 units to fill the head set and soft cannula.
